Popin Pete started to learn the popping style from his older brother Sam who he would always watch dance in 1978.
Today he’s a legend as he has gone on to innovate styles/moves like crazy legs, ET, spider man and sleepy style. Currently Pete is helping spread popping and boogaloo knowledge all over the world

Popin Pete, A man who wears many hats: Father, Dancer, Teacher, Innovator, the list goes on and on. I guess you can say with the experience Pete has accumulated over the years this was destined to happen. You see Popin Pete’s older brother “Boogaloo” Sam Solomon, created POPPING & FRESNO BOOGALOO STYLE in 1975. These styles are often duplicated within the dance industry and usually without the proper credit or compensation givin to the true innovators of these styles, The Electric Boogaloos.
POPIN PETE is a second generation member of The Electric Boogaloos, joining the group in 1978. During that time, Pete and the other members of The Electric Boogaloos appeared on many popular shows including :

. Kicks
. Real people
. Soul Train.
When they appeared on Soul Train with “moves no one had ever seen before”, the nation immediately tried to imitate their trademark “funky” style and….(cont.Popin Pete’s BLOG)
