Firelock Bio (from website www.lockism.com) :

Fire was originally popular for bboying in a local group in New York City. He says he decided to learn Locking after he saw Shock-a-lock demonstrate some ‘crazy fast’ locking at a Zulu Nation event in New York City. he was later introduced to Shock-a-lock by a mutual friend. Ironically Shock-a-lock was wearing a fire-style outfit when he was at that Zulu event. Fire, who was called Kenetic in his bboy team, liked the name Fire himself, so they decided that he should keep the name as a member of Lockism.

Fire specializes in unique daring flips and splits. He dresses up his daring moves with an abundance of character, ryth and soul that only he can demonstrate. Fire can do anything from fancy footwork on the floor to actually “flying” through the air, landing in seemingly bone breaking splits.

Firelock is the Hip Hop International 2009 Locking winner.

He just won Juste Debout with HURRIKANE. They are the 2011 LOCKING CHAMPIONS!

This is an open 4 weeks course of Funky Lockin’ with Eriko Okada.

Kou Suzuki came out of nowhere to place second in Dancekool 24′s Locking battle to Tony Tones. Showing skills, technique and style his dance blew away the competition and brought him to the forefront of Sydney’s dance scene.Now he’s going to be teaching at DK! Kou has more then 10 years of experience in teaching and dance and is a phenomenal instructor. If you’d like to learn his style, now is your chance! Come and welcome him to Dancekool.

After three amazing weeks teaching locking at DK, Eriko and Uske have shown what exceptional teachers they are. So now they are ready to move to a permanant class of their own. From 6th September Eriko and Uske will be teaching Locking/Soul Locking on Sundays at 4:00pm every week. They will alternate between teaching individually and teaching together and help you to learn all the skills you need to be a great locker. Come down and check them out!
