DKP is coming back from holiday and is ready to start a new season of dance classes, performances, battles and much much more!!

After an awesome 2011, the team at DKP can not wait for what 2012 will deliver. There are a lot of things happening at the studio that we can not announce just quite yet!

Megu from Hottie Cat

In 2001 Hottie Cat was made by Megu and Chie who are Reggae dancers in Japan. They appear in a lot of TV programs and DVDs in Japan such as super chample, PV of BOYKEN, Southern All Stars, RYO the Skywalker.

They often go to Jamaica to learn real dance and music.
Megu will be happy to share her knowledge and skill with everyone!!

a bit about ANDEE:-

Andee aka Wacckedee started dancing and performing at the age of 7 and has been trained in hip hop, street jazz, jazz funk and waacking by internationally renown pioneers and dance legend such as Tyrone, Princesses lockeroo, Princess 1G.

Andee has conducted numerous workshops and judged many dance battles/competitions since 2008. He has also entered any dance competitions including Singapore Dance Delight 2010 (Finalist), Live it up without light up 2010 hip hop dance competition (champion) and King of Hits Queen of Beats 2011 waacking battle judged by Tyrone (top 4). He’s also recently choreographed for Bossini’s “Be happy” dance video with local celebrity Kelly Poon.

22nd JAN (Sun) 3pm-430pm
STREET JAZZ- this workshop welcomes dancers of any level and experience. Come and join us for 1.5hr of street jazz choreography, fun, great vibes and sharing/exchanging knowledge!

23rd JAN (mon) 6-730pm
WAACKING – this is also an open level workshop where beginners will learn the foundations of waacking, and those with more experiences will work on character, musicality and battle techniques.

workshops are $30 each (10 pass cards excepted – 3 boxes)

Dancekool would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Dancekool Parramatta will be closed from 19th December 2011 and Re-opens on the 6th of January 2012.

Dancekool City Studio will be closed from 24th December 2011 and Re-opens on the 4th of January 2012

In the meantime if your itching to get your dance fix, the Dnacekoo Family will be partying on NYE down at Pyrmont Park.

NYE 2011 where will you be – Welcoming the new year in a cramped night club somewhere with strangers and crappy music?

Why not welcome in the New Year with Dancekool Family down at Pyrmont Point Park. Pyrmont Point Park is a great vantage point to watch the fireworks and an awesome spot to relax or party the night away.

Dancekool will be putting on a BBQ, with enough food and soft drinks to last all night. All for $20. BYO alcohol of course.

We will also be bringing down our mobile DJ setup and playing tunes you all know and love.

The dance choreographer of two time-World Hip Hop Dance Champion Philippine Allstars, Lil Pat, is heading to Australia this November to judge at the prestigious international street dance championship, World Supremacy Battlegrounds (WSB) from November 25-27. Over one-thousand of the best of the best dancers from Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, The Philippines, South Africa, Thailand and Guam will travel down to Sydney to compete in WSB.
The Manila-based Philippine Allstars choreographer will make his first trip to Australia to join an illustrious group of international stars in the WSB judging panel, which also includes KRUMP founder Tight Eyez, Australian dance stars Pania Taku, Alvin de Castro and Lizzie Wicks, and multi-titled New Zealand hip hop choreographer Parris Goebel.
Patrick Romero or better known as Lil Pat is a core member of the dynamic Philippine Allstars, a pioneering hip hop dance crew from the Philippines that has won the hearts and minds of the global dance community after winning two World Championship titles in 2006 and 2008 respectively.
Lil Pat began dancing at the age of 14 and has not looked back. He specializes in hip hop and coined his own style called “bad boy flava”. After joining the Philippine Allstars in 2007, they successfully reclaimed the World title in his second year with the group. They have since won the Malta Guinness Dance Competition, Asia Tri-Crew (Singapore) and Dance2Dance (Switzerland) as a key member who choreographed the competition pieces.
He has performed as a support act for artists including Justin Timberlake, Timbaland, JoJo, Ne-Yo, Pussycat Dolls, 2NE1, Quest Crew, Gary V and Billy Crawford.
Lil Pat arrives in Australia on November 18 and will conduct exclusive Bad Boy dance workshops in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Newcastle before taking his seat in the World Supremacy Battlegrounds judging panel on November 25-27.
He admits that he is thrilled to be heading to Australia to meet their fans and witness some amazing dance performances.

We’re going to take it back to older days and bring the random partner rule.
